Our pedagogical philosophy consists of engaging students in an environment that teaches them how to learn, because we believe learning is not confined to the four walls of school and neither is it restricted by factors like age, environment or means for attending school. We believe learning can happen anywhere and goes on throughout a person’s life and we want ourt students to be able to respond to learning opportunities in the most positive manner and make the most of them.
Our teaching methodologies largely revolve around Bloom’s Taxonomy, which is a set of three hierarchical models used to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and specificity namely, Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor domains. We wish to see our students acquire a new skill, knowledge and/or attitude after every learning episode.
We wish to promote collaborative learning, i.e., students working together in small teams to enhance the chances of a more deep seated learning. This way they will be working with their peers who are more or less at the same intelligence level as them and it will promote a healthy competition not only with others but also with themselves.
We wish to inculcate in our students their innate talents, provide them with ample opportunities to pursue learning in their own way. We will train our teachers to be knowledge collaborators and not information providers, someone who will let the students’ thoughts and questions become tools for healthy discussion and critical analysis and themselves be the wheel that keeps them going off road.
